Mickaël Mehala | Black Childish

Drawing inspiration from his rich cultural heritage, as well as music and pop culture, Black Childish’s work features a colorful and playful side, where his characters evolve in sometimes dreamlike, sometimes funny situations.

Black Childish, also known as Mickaël Mehala, is a Martinican illustrator based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. With a lifelong passion for the visual arts, he pursued his dreams by studying graphic design in Paris, and later graduated from Gobelins, specialising in Motion Design.

As a versatile artist, Black Childish loves to experiment with different techniques, mediums, and styles, const antly exploring the boundaries of what's possible with his art.

Whether working in 2D or 3D, with animation or on walls, his work aspires to be bold, colorful, and fun.
