Amber Paris

I am Amber Paris (AP), a multidisciplinary storyteller based in Amsterdam, raised in New York City. We lived in The Bronx, Brooklyn, and Washington Heights, each place leaving a distinctive imprint on my life. I’ve always found solace and inspiration in the world of rhythm, movement, and visual arts, so in these realms I find my voice.

Through my creations I aim to inspire my audience to define their own idea of fulfillment, casting aside pre-determined definitions of meaningful living. As a multi-disciplinary artist, I embrace the freedom to select the medium that best resonates with the season of my life.

My 2022 self-portrait series, “From Journals To The Canvas,” tells the story of my battle with anxiety and depression. Currently, I am devoting time to my crafts in spoken word & movement. I am in the process of shedding self limiting beliefs, shifting away from shame-based perspectives, and learning how to love honestly.

And so, the power of my voice on stage breathes life into my intentions. In doing so, I not only affirm my own truth but also offer solace to those who find echoes of their own stories in my words.

Movement is an expression of life and a huge part of maintaining quality mental health. I eagerly anticipate sharing this intimate journey with the world in my forthcoming project, "Letters, To Love," spoken word on film.
