Our collaboration story

At Eastpak, collaboration is part of our DNA. Since our first partnership, making backpacks for the US military in 1952, we’ve continued to seek out new inspiration and ways to innovate our iconic designs. From the creatives we choose to work with to the brands we design collections with, we challenge our creativity to redefine the rules and discover new styles.

It all started in 2003 with our first fashion collaboration with Dutch tattoo artist Hendrick Schiffmacher. Since then, we’ve made our high-fashion debut with Raf Simons and launched catwalk-ready collections with Walter van Beireindonck, Jean Paul Gaultier, Vetements, and MSGM. We explored sustainable design with Christoper Raeburn and spread positivity with our charitable Eastpak Artist Studio capsule.

Our collaborations span beyond the bags we design as we look for inspiration from creative people that help us to bring our ideas to life. From illustrators and photographers to artists and designers, we team up with people who inspire us to be bold and express ourselves freely, whilst empowering communities and mindsets.

We collaborate with different partners every season and each collaboration has shaped our brand into what it is today. We’ve transformed our classic styles into streetwear staples with Neighborhood and Undercover, and we’ve hit the catwalk with Raf Simons and Koché. We’ve focused on the positives with Smiley and teamed up with inspiring individuals to share their stories. By collaborating with brands and creatives, we unlock new ideas and designs and stretch ourselves to expand on our horizons.
