What size is cabin luggage, and what are the cabin bag dimensions? Cabin baggage, also known as hand luggage to our North American explorers, is the type of luggage you’re allowed to carry on the plane with you. While planning a trip isn’t always easy, finding the right size hand luggage should be. Grab a spare set of clothes, your travel essentials, and let’s get packing.
If you’re still not sure where to start, don’t sweat it. Our cabin cases are suitable for use as hand luggage on most flights (you’re welcome).

Choose a multifunctional luggage style to load up with your travel essentials. In addition to our wide range of backpacks, rucksacks and luggage options, add a few packing cubes to your basket before you checkout. Our signature small, medium and large packing cubes are designed for organising your essentials on the go. Carry these compact cases with the handles as you sort through your stuff.
So where should you start with packing your hand luggage? When it comes to carry-ons, it can be hard to know exactly what to take with you. You don’t want to carry too much but you want to be prepared for anything. When it comes to packing, it’s always a good idea to bring a spare change of clothes. While it may sound unnecessary to pack a spare t-shirt when you have two weeks of clothes in your checked luggage, you never know if your baggage will arrive at the same time you do. If anything were to get lost on your journey, you’ll be relieved to arrive at your destination with a fresh change of clothes.
Liquids can be tricky, especially nowadays when hand sanitiser is an essential. For most airport check-ins, all liquids must be carried in containers that don’t exceed 100ml, in a transparent plastic bag, with a maximum total capacity of 1 litre. If you plan to pack a full bottle of your favourite shampoo or lotion, store it in your checked baggage. If you’re travelling with a child or need to bring medication with you, the volume restriction doesn’t apply to both baby food and medicines.
If you forgot a homecoming gift for the family, dash over to duty free for a quick fix. Duty free liquids that you buy from any airport or airline can exceed the liquid limits and may be carried with your hand luggage. Just make sure the item and receipt remain sealed inside your provided security bag until you reach your destination. As expected, avoid any sharp objects, explosives and flammable items. With that in mind, you should always check the relevant airline’s guidelines before you start your journey. Since restrictions and what you can put in your hand luggage is set by the airline, it’s ultimately up to them what you should carry on and put in the hold.
